2016 Summer Camp - Robotics Olympic
Level 1 (Grades 4-8)
Week 1: Students will learn basic building architecture and be required to
complete various challenging missions such as building
structures, towers, and bridges using LEGO or K’nex building materials.
Week 2: Students will learn essential concept of force, wheels, and gears. They are given
various missions such as boats, tools, and some gadgets.
Week 3: Students will learn to build simple machines using levers and gears. They are
required to build the machines to compete at the Summer Robotics Olympic Game.
Week 1: Students will learn basic NXT robot building techniques and using their creative mind
to build few challenging models based on the requirement.
Week 2: Students will learn basic NXT robot programming techniques and control wheels
to be able to move and turn precisely. Their robots need to pass through filed with
various obstacles within a given time.
Week 3: Students will learn NXT sensor programming and complete various tasks using
sensors. The tasks includes working through maze, identifying colors, robot fights,
and Robotics Olympic Game.
Level 2 (Grades 4-8)
Week 1: Students will learn advanced NXT robot programming techniques.
Week 2-3: Students will build sophisticate robot athletes to compete in sports
games such as soccer and basketball.
